Spring Training Log: Day in the Life – Feb. 5th

With workouts in full-swing, I will be posting a daily log of my workouts and activities.  It’ll give you an inside look at the life of a pro baseball player.

7:20 a.m. – Breakfast

8-8:45 – Shoulder strengthening program/Arm Care

9-9:15 – On field stretching and warm up

9:15-9:30 – 25 throws at 60ft.

9:30-45 – Speed work.

4 – 20 yds. sprints

4 – 40 yds. sprints

9:45-10:45 – Lift

2×10 – Power Plate Squats

Frog Legs Stretch

4×5 – Small Hurdle Jumps (Forward, Lateral)

Superset 1

4×8 – Bulgarian Split Squats (Weight Vest)

4×5 – Lateral Bounds

4×10 – Hip Mobes

Superset 2

4×8 – Side Lunge on Bosu Ball

4×60 seconds – Bosu Ball Wobbles

Superset 3

4×8 – 1 Leg Squat and reach

4×8 – Valslide Hamstring Pulls

Stretch

Standing Hip Stretch

Deep Squat Rotation

Piriformis Pulse

 

10:45 – 11:10 – Hitting: Tee Work, Front Toss
