My brothers and I were on a brewery rampage this Thanksgiving break and managed to make our stops to the top places in all of Cincinnati, OH and Lexington, KY. By far my favorite visit had to be at Ethereal Brewing Co. in downtown Lexington.
Not only did I get the opportunity to spend some time with family at another awesome brewery, but I also managed to find my new favorite beer. The Fadtastic New England IPA. I’ve only had a few New England IPA’s (seem to be a style that is on the rise) but this one managed to trump them all.
As you can see it’s pretty hazy which is unusual and something you don’t usually see in a traditional IPA but I still loved every second of it. Citrusy and very easy to drink. 10/10 in my book!
As for the brewery, it’s tucked away inside the Distillery District near downtown Lexington. Taking up residence in the old James E. Pepper distillery, Ethereal Brewing has really revived the historic building and hasn’t lost the unique character one bit. Everyone loved the beer and it has tons of games/seating for whatever the mood.
We plan to make this stop everytime we make a visit back to Lexington.
